Who we are

RFE Insight operates the USCIS notice analysis service at rfeinsight.com, a tool built for Requests for Evidence, Notices of Intent to Deny and denials. For the purposes of data protection law, RFE Insight is the data controller of the personal data described in this notice.

What personal data we collect

• Email address: to deliver your analysis report.
• Uploaded document: the PDF or image of the notice you upload, so we can read and analyze its text. The document is deleted as soon as your report is delivered.
• Payment information: Freemius, our Merchant of Record, securely handles payment information and international card transactions. We do not store full card numbers or bank details.
• Usage and technical data: anonymized page views, feature usage, and error telemetry to improve the service and keep it secure.

How we use your data

• To perform the contract: read your notice, run the analysis, generate the report, and email it to you.
• To keep the service secure: detect abuse, prevent fraud, and maintain service integrity.
• To improve the product: understand anonymized usage patterns and fix errors. We do not use personal data for this.
• To comply with legal obligations: respond to lawful requests from courts or regulators.

Legal basis

We process your data to fulfill our contract with you (delivering the analysis), based on our legitimate interests in security and service improvement, and where required to comply with legal obligations.

Who we share data with

• Freemius: our Merchant of Record, for secure payment processing, tax handling, fraud prevention, and related transaction records. Freemius also handles buyer billing support and refund requests.
• Cloud service providers: for hosting, database storage, and email delivery.
• Professional advisers: such as legal or accounting professionals, when required.
• Authorities: when required by law or court order.

Data retention and deletion

Your uploaded PDF and extracted text are deleted as soon as your analysis report is delivered. Your email address is deleted after the report is successfully sent. We keep only anonymized, redacted research records that cannot identify you.

Payment records are retained for as long as required by tax and accounting law.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within one month.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security monitoring to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we follow industry best practices.
